Tank! Tank! Tank!

In recent time, I have not posted a lot on this blog... because I'm pretty lazy, right.
But, in the meantime I was doing completely nothing, I have received some feedback on my other posts. based on that feedback, Especially on tanks, as this topic was not properly covered on my previous post.

In all that, I have decided to illustrate, how a normal, small crew operated tank, can be made using Spaceships rules

Meet Lil' Louie a completely normal, small crew operated roughly WWII tank with a heat ray cannon powered by the sun itself.

"Lil' Louie" - TL7^ *

Front

Center

Rear

1-4 Steel (DR 40)

1-4 Steel (DR 40)

1-4 Steel (DR 40)

5 Custom Weapon Battery

5! Major Weapon Battery
(10 MJ Heat Ray Turret)

5 Solar Panel Array (1 PP)

6 Tracked Drivethrough

6 Engine Room

6 Fuel Tank (1.5 ton hydrocarbon fuel)

C Control Room
(No computer, 1 control station, comm/sensor level 1)

C ICE engine (1 PP)

It uses 30-ton SM+5 hull (quite typical for tanks)

Using Armor Volume, DR becomes 72, and SM becomes +4
Ground Move 1/10; Hnd/SR -3/5
 * TL7^ is listed mostly because it's the TL of Steel armor. It could as well be a TL6^ tank.

Crew consists of a Commander/Driver, Gunner and Engineer.

The DR of the tank seems lacking, but can be improved either by using the process from the post about Ironclads, or just approximating the stats to be closer to WWII medium tanks stats (50 Top and Under, 280 on front, 105 on Sides and Rear)

Alternatively, if we use Armor By Facing, DR Becomes 50 on Underbody and Top, 130 on front, 68 on other directions.

We can make Lil' Louie into a more realistic WWII tank, by changing Major Battery to a conventional cannon, and replacing Solar Panel Array with Cargo system or anything else.

Custom Weapons Battery should contain one or two anti-infantry machine guns.
